I wrote this 120 page manual based on my experience working with hundreds of clients on my post hire consulting progtam and my own experiences  over 17 years, and I identify the most common issues you will encounter as the administrator of record, and pratcial startegies for dealing with them.

 

Nursing home administrators today are expected to be turnaround specialists.  Able to parachute into a failing facility and almost magically hire new staff, increase census and pull the facility out of the red and into profitable territory almost over night.

 

This is not a realistic expectation, but you can certainly make incremental and strageic improvements towardds achieving those goals.

 

The manual is divided by department, and details the types of challenges and issues you will most likely handle on a daily basis, strategies for dealing with them, and tips on how ro manage your time and the stresses inherent in this job. 

 

This manual addresses these issues head on, and in an honest straight forward manner.  I will tell you what they will do to you, and how you can maintain perspective and minimize your stress in this very stressful job.

 

The feedback I have gotten is that the manual accurately prerdicted exactly waht my clients would encounter, and helped the to develop effective management strategies.

 

The most practical advice i give my clients is to not let anyone else define a problem for you.  You must analyze the root cause of any problem, and then approach it from that angle, or you can easily find your self falling into rabbit holes that seem to have no bottom to them.
